Beginning Open Water – Tacoma
Learning to scuba dive is easy and fun! We have introduced thousands of people to diving in the Pacific Northwest and around the world. There are three steps in earning your Underwater Sports PADI Open Water Diver Certification: knowledge development, pool sessions, and open water! PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world. Minimum age for group classes is 12 years old.
Class Schedule:
Confined water training (pool): January 11 & 12 (1pm to 4pm) – Done at Cloverpark High School
Open Water Dives (Puget Sound): January 18 & 19. Your instructor will let you know location and time for your dives as they can vary due to tides and weather conditions.
Fee Includes:
- PADI e-Learning online academics.
- Instruction by your Underwater Sports Instructor.
- All equipment with the exception of personal gear.
Your personal gear consists of a mask, fins, snorkel, boots and gloves. We suggest purchasing these items from Underwater Sports as you will get the best deals.
