Advance Open Water Course Letter
Thank you for choosing Underwater Sports for your Advance Open Water instruction. We hope that you are as excited to begin your new adventure as we are to have you as a student! You should have your class schedule, if not, please contact the store location that you are taking your course for that information.
Academics:
The required material for this course is the PADI Adventures in Diving E-Leaning program. You should be receiving an e-mail from PADI with a link to this online program. Sometimes this e-mail ends up in the junk folder.
Although there are many chapters, you will only need to complete 6 of these chapters that correlate to the 5 dives completed in the class. The first three chapters are: Thinking Like a Diver, Underwater Navigation and Deep Diving. At the end of each chapter is a knowledge review. Please contact the location where you are taking your class for the remaining three chapters. All 6 chapters must be read, and knowledge reviews completed before the first day of class. Also, please complete the forms section and upload a photo into your PADI account.
Forms & Medical:
Under the forms section you will find all documents that are needed to be filled out. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO CLASS! Please follow the directions on the form to determine if you will need a physician’s signature prior to your SCUBA certification class. If a physician’s approval is required and you are not able to obtain one prior to the first day of class, we will need to reschedule your class for a later date.
Here is a copy of our medical form- Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire
